Vol. 180 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Londonbridge Road (Dublin) Morgue.

26.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government what the present position is regarding the proposal to close Londonbridge Road morgue; and whether any steps can be taken to expedite its closing in view of the distress and inconvenience caused to the next-of-kin of deceased persons and witnesses who have to attend inquests in such an unsuitable building.

The Dublin Corporation have under consideration the closing of Londonbridge Road Morgue and it is understood that, subject to arrangement with the county and city coroners, this will be done as soon as possible after certain constructional works at present in progress at the City Morgue, Store Street, have been completed.
