The estimated amount to be paid in salaries and wages at Shannon Airport by the State and by the Airport Sales and Catering Service in the year ending 31st March, 1960, is £700,000.
The estimated amount to be paid in salaries and wages at Dublin Airport by the State and by Aer Rianta who are charged with the management of the Airport, in the year ending 31st March, 1960, is £250,000.
Information relating to salaries and wages paid by the Airline Companies, Oil Companies, concessionaires, building contractors and other employers at the Airports is not available in my Department.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state the amount of salaries and wages paid in connection with Foynes, Shannon Airport and Collinstown Airport to the latest available date.
Salaries and wages paid to State staff, excluding maintenance staff, and staff employed by the Sales and Catering Service at Shannon Airport (including Foynes) amounted to £5,676,186 up to 31st March, 1959 in the case of State staff and up to 31st January, 1960 in the case of Sales and Catering staff. Wages paid to maintenance staff are not normally segregated from other maintenance expenditure but the wages of these staff have been extracted for the year ended 31st March, 1959, and amounted to £40,359.
Salaries and wages paid at Dublin Airport by the State and Aer Rianta, who are my agents for the management of the Airport, amounted to £1,931,982 in the period from 1st April 1945, to 31st March, 1959; separate figures are not available for the period prior to 1945.
