asked the Taoiseach if he will state for each of the last ten years the percentage of gross national product represented by central taxation (a) on expenditure and (b) by direct taxation.
I propose to take Questions 31 and 32 together. The information requested by the Deputy is shown in the following table for the years 1949/50 to 1958/59. Data for 1959/60 are not yet available.
