I move:—
That the Order for the Second Reading of the Rent Restrictions Bill, 1960, be discharged, and that the Bill be withdrawn.
The purpose of the discharge is to expedite as far as possible the large amount of legislation on the Order Paper at the present time as well as other legislation in course of preparation. I hope that the Bill will be introduced in the Seanad next Wednesday. I also hope that it will be possible to take the Second Stage in the Seanad on the following Wednesday, 25th May, 1960.
