The total estimated expenditure out of public funds in the financial year ended 31st March 1960 on civil aviation including all expenditure in regard to airports is £1,676,534. This includes a sum of approximately £926,000 for capital construction works. The estimated expenditure by Aer Rianta on the management of Dublin Airport for the same period is £172,500.
Net receipts from Shannon and Dublin Airports for the year were approximately £765,000 after deduction of expenditure by Aer Rianta in Dublin Airport.
The estimate of the expenditure on the management of Dublin Airport by Aer Rianta for the financial year ending 31st March 1961 is not yet available.
These figures do not include share capital taken up by the Minister for Finance in Aer Rianta during the year.
