asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will give details of the sale of Social Insurance Stamps for the year ended 31st March, 1960 in the form of a reply of 24th February, 1960.

NOTE.—Contribution rates were increased on the 3rd September, 1956, but some stamps at the old rates in respect of employment prior to that date were sold in the year ended 31st March, 1960. The numbers of such old rate stamps sold in 1959-60 are known only for the classes to which the corresponding current rates of 5/6d., 4/1d. and 2/- apply; the numbers are insignificant and have accordingly been included under the appropriate figures in the foregoing statement.
