It is estimated that 877 civil servants who retired before 1 November, 1948 and 1,212 civil servants who retired between 1 November, 1948 and 1 November, 1955, will be entitled to increases in their pensions as from the 1st August next.
Would it be possible for the Minister to indicate whether it is proposed to pay them following a Supplementary Estimate or do the payments have to await the introduction of legislation?
They are being paid from the 1st August—on an Estimate.
