The means limit of £72 16s. 0d. which applies to applicants for unemployment assistance resident outside the County Boroughs, the Borough of Dún Laoghaire and certain urban districts has been operative from 25th June, 1952. With regard to the second part of the Deputy's question, the matter of the raising of the means limits for unemployment assistance purposes is at present under consideration in my Department.
