Vol. 184 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - North Crumlin Dispensary District.

10.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Health when he expects to make an order transferring portion of the Walkinstown area to the South City No. 7 (North Crumlin) Dispensary District.

I expect to make the Order referred to by the Deputy within the next week. The operative date of the Order will not, however, be for a further fortnight as it will be necessary for the Dublin Health Authority to make necessary arrangements for the attendance of eligible persons in the Walkinstown area at the Curlew Road Dispensary consequent on the transfer.

11.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Health the number of persons, including their dependants, covered by general medical services cards in the Dublin South City No. 7 (North Crumlin) Dispensary District on 15th September last.

I am advised by the health authority that on 15th September, 1960, one of the periodic revisions of the General Medical Services Register, to be effective from 1st October, 1960, was in progress and that, consequently, it is not possible for them to state the actual number of persons in the South City No. 7 (North Crumlin) Dispensary District who were covered by medical cards on that date. The health authority, however, estimates the figure at between 3,900 and 4,000.
