Road accident statistics do not specify the number, if any, of accidents caused by the devices in question. I am not aware that they are responsible for an increasing number of accidents. The designs and use of trafficators will, however, be considered in conjunction with a review of the regulations governing the construction and equipment of vehicles which is at present being undertaken in my Department.
