I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 38, 39 and 40 together.
The details requested are set out in tabular statements which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the official report.
In reviewing the pay of the various higher grades, I dealt with each grade as a separate entity. I could not accept as correct that one grade has been excluded from an increase granted to another grade.
I have seen the press announcement referred to by the Deputy. Details of increases already granted at various dates to the grades mentioned are contained in one of the tabular statements and set out the position.
Following are the statements:—
CATEGORIES of full-time non-industrial civil servants who are outside the scope of the Civil Service conciliation and arbitration machinery and to whom no increases of salary have been granted since 1st January 1960, inclusive:—
