Vol. 186 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. John's Point (Donegal) Pier.

33.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is the intention to carry out urgent and necessary repairs to Cassan (Castle) Sound Pier and landing place at St. John's Point, County Donegal; and, if so, when.

I have had inspections made of this landing place and the reports have just come to hand. I am arranging for their very early consideration with a view to having improvement works carried out there.

We may take it definitely that the improvement works will be carried out?

It is a matter of deciding what works should be carried out. The Department of Fisheries are concerned. They have certain suggestions to make. The engineers who inspected the work have made certain suggestions. Probably I may want something. We hope to have a decision very soon.

Something will be done?

The Deputy need not worry.

All you need is to catch some fish up there now.
