I move amendment No. 1:
To add to the section the following subsection:
"(3) Every scheme under this section shall be laid before each House of the Oireachtas as soon as may be after it is made and if either House, within the next twenty-one days on which that House has sat after the scheme is laid before it, passes a resolution annulling the scheme, the scheme shall be annulled accordingly, but without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done thereunder."
On Second Reading, Deputy Sweetman drew attention to the point that there was no provision for laying a change of this kind of scheme on the Table. He said it was usual in any Bill dealing with a pensions scheme. I have no objection to doing that. I want to correct the Deputy to some extent. It has not been included in some Bills—for example, the Tourist Traffic Bill.
