The rental data for Local Authority dwellings included in the Consumer Price Index relate to the figures for total weekly rent (including rates) of all occupied rented dwellings. The particulars are not obtained in a form which would make it possible to classify the dwellings in each county into different groups based on the level of rents paid. The following statement shows for each County, County Borough and for Dún Laoghaire Borough the number of occupied rented local authority dwellings, together with the average weekly rent (including rates), for which data were included in the Consumer Price Index for November, 1960.
