In this case the Kildare County Council refused permission under the Town and Regional Planning Act, 1934, for the proposed reconstruction, on the grounds that the house, which is situate close to the junction of the county road with the main road, obstructs the sight line and is a detriment to road safety. The applicant has appealed against the decision of the Planning Authority and the appeal is under consideration in my Department. It is hoped to give a decision in the matter in the near future.
