I am informed that the provision of an A.I. Service in a number of outlying areas in the North Western counties, including Achill, at present presents economic difficulties for the North Western Cattle Breeding Society, which operates the service in those counties. My Department is keeping in touch with the society in the matter but, while the aim will be to include such areas according as circumstances permit, I am not now in a position to say when the service can be extended to Achill.
