14.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether any, and, if so, which of the signatories to the Convention on the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development have, in accordance with Article 14 (3), ratified that Convention.

Five of the signatories to the Convention have already ratified it, namely, Canada, the United States of America, Britain, Iceland and Denmark.

15.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether a Memorandum of Understanding on the Application of Article 15 of the Convention on the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development is intended to apply only to Canada and the United States; and whether either of them has given any notice as visualised in Paragraph 2 thereof.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative.

As regards the second part, both Canada and the United States ratified the convention in April but neither country has given notice under paragraph 2 of the Memorandum within the period of ten days there laid down.
