No provision has been made in the Vote for my Department towards the cost of harbour improvements at Waterford in the coming year. The cost of harbour improvements falls to be met by the Harbour Commissioner but in special circumstances State assistance may be granted towards the cost. State grants to a total of £137,000 have already been made towards the cost of approved schemes of harbour improvement at Waterford. Included in the scheme were two transit sheds. No application for further grants is before my Department.
