Vol. 191 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sewerage and Water Facilities for Monalow (Dublin) Houses.

21.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the need for sewage and water facilities for about 30 houses at Monalow, Cabinteely, County Dublin; and if in view of the fact that a water and sewage scheme is being installed at Clonkeen Road adjacent to these houses he will arrange to have facilities provided for the residents at Monalow.

The installation of water and sewerage services in Council cottages is a matter in the first instance for Dublin County Council. I am informed that they are proceeding with a planned programme of such works and that provision is made in that programme for the Monalow group of houses. The Clonkeen Road Scheme is a private scheme. It would not, in any event, be the most suitable for the servicing of the Monalow cottages.
