Vol. 191 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Control of Traffic at Phoenix Park Gate.

20.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the need to have a member of the Garda Síochána to control traffic at the pedestrian revolving gate of the Phoenix Park on Conyngham Road at Islandbridge, Dublin, during the summer months in view of the large number of pedestrians, prams and children who cross the main road there; and if he will take steps to have a member placed on traffic duty there.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that they do not consider that the traffic conditions at this point are such as to necessitate the allocation of a member to point-duty there.
