The Deputy appears to have overlooked the fact that the Tourist Traffic Acts were amended as recently as six months ago for the specific purpose of removing the former limit on Bord Fáilte's annual grant-in-aid and of enabling increased funds to be made available to the Board for the development of the tourist industry.
Could the Minister say whether or not Bord Fáilte spent all the moneys allocated to them in the previous two financial years?
I do not know about the previous financial year but a Supplementary Estimate for Bord Fáilte is coming before the House shortly.
