Up to and including 31st January, 1962, the number of old age (contributory) pensions which has been awarded to claimants residing in County Mayo was 725. The number of claims from persons residing in that county which had been rejected, excluding cases in which pension was subsequently granted on appeal, was 370. A record of the number of claimants in County Mayo who appealed against the rejection of their claims is not available.
