Vol. 194 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Garda Stations.

52.

asked the Minister for Justice whether in view of the bad conditions now prevailing in the Garda Stations at William Street and John Street, Limerick he will treat as urgent the renovation and decoration of these two stations.

It has been decided to replace the William Street and John Street Stations by a new central station to be erected on the site of the present William Street Station, and work on the preparation of plans for the new premises has commenced. While necessary repairs will continue to be carried out in the existing stations at William Street and John Street, substantial renovation and decoration could not be justified in view of the limited period for which the premises will be occupied.

Mr. Ryan

I wish to indicate my desire to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of Question No. 83 of 1st March addressed to the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs.

I shall communicate with the Deputy later.
