Vol. 194 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Wexford Estates and Holdings.

63.

asked the Minister for Lands what estates in County Wexford are in the possession of the Land Commission for division; what is the area of each estate so acquired; and at what date it is expected that each estate will be divided.

64.

asked the Minister for Lands (a) the number of holdings in the possession of the Land Commission in County Wexford, (b) the name and location of each holding, (c) the acreage of each holding and (d) when it is proposed to divide these lands.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 63 and 64 together.

In County Wexford, the Land Commission have on hands for division the following three estates: (a) Somerville Estate, containing 276 acres, at Ballyharran Upper and Tikillin; (b) Byrne Estate, containing 76 acres, at Bola More; (c) Kavanagh Estate, containing 3,139 acres—mainly mountain—at Blackstairs Commons.

It is hoped to allot a substantial portion of these lands during the current spring.
