asked the Taoiseach if he will give particulars of import and export values for 1961 in the form of a reply of 9th March 1961.
The values at 1956 prices of the imports, total exports and import excess for 1961 are provisionally estimated at £256.7 million, £169.7 million and £87.0 million respectively. In making these estimates the Official import and domestic export price (unit value) index numbers were used to revalue the 1961 totals at 1956 prices.
