The delay in filling the vacancy for subpostmaster at Kilmichael is due to the fact that none of the original applicants was suitable in all respects.
They were not members of the cumann?
The vacancy was readvertised and applications are being considered. I cannot say at this stage when the appointment will be made but it will be hastened as much as possible.
Would the Minister state how many applicants there were?
I have not got the papers from the board yet.
