The answers to the Deputy's questions are as follows: (1) The Asgard was purchased by the State in Meitheamh, 1961. (2) The cost of the vessel was £4,325. (3) The cost of surveys and repairs to date has amounted to £1,525. (4) It is intended that The Asgard will be used for the training of An Slua Muirí personnel. (5) Additional expenditure to make the vessel seaworthy for the coming season will be necessary, but it is not known yet what this is likely to amount to. (6) All expenditure in connection with the purchase, survey, repair and maintenance of the vessel has been, or will be, borne on subhead P2 of An Vóta Cosanta.
