asked the Minister for Lands the present position regarding the following estates which are in the hands of the Land Commission in County Limerick: (1) the Dolan Estate, (2) the Bridgeman Estate, (3) the O'Donnell Estate, (4) the Lloyd Estate, (5) the Whyte Estate, and (6) the Westropp Estate; and the position of other estates, if any, recently acquired by his Department in the county.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Estates.
27.
The estates referred to at (1), (2), (3), (4) and (6) are on hands and allotment will be effected as soon as possible. The property at (5) has not been acquired but it is the subject of current proceedings. Since 1st January last, three further estates, aggregating 210 acres, have been taken over by the Land Commission in County Limerick but it is still too early to indicate when disposal thereof will be feasible. Provisional returns indicate that a total area of some 950 acres was allotted in County Limerick during the year ended 31st March last.
