Vol. 194 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fee Payments to Banks.

9.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, further to a reply of 4th April, he will state exactly on what basis the fees paid by the Exchequer to the Bank of Ireland and to the National City Bank for management of Government stock, management and issue of prize bonds, and management of land bonds are calculated.

The fees for management of Government stocks and Land Bonds each year are calculated on the basis of £300 for each £1 million of stock or Bonds, as appropriate, outstanding on the last day of the previous financial year.

For the management of Prize Bonds expenses are recouped and there is a fixed annual fee of £2,000 to cover all overheads.

Expenses on the issue of National Loans and Prize Bonds are recouped. No fee is paid.
