Several aspects of this matter are under review in various ways; for example, health expenditure is being examined by a Select Committee of the Dáil. The Economic Research Institute have published during the past week a preliminary report on their investigation into local government finance. The various investigations are continuing, but it is not possible at present to say when they will all be completed.
