Vol. 196 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Tipperary Farm Valuations.

8.

asked the Taoiseach the number of farmers in South Tipperary with holdings of (a) under £10 valuation, (b) over £10 and under £20 valuation, (c) over £20 and under £30 valuation, (d) over £30 and under £40 valuation, (e) over £40 and under £50 valuation, and (f) over £50 valuation.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Office Report a tabular statement giving particulars for Tipperary South Riding of the numbers of agricultural holdings classified by valuation as returned in the 1960 Agricultural Enumeration. Corresponding particulars for the numbers of persons whose principal occupation is that of "farmer" will not be available until the results of the 1961 Census of Population have been compiled.

The following is the statement:—
