As indicated in Part III of the Estimate, this Subhead is intended to cover the cost of Consultative Committees, Inquiries etc. The type of expenditure normally charged to the Subhead is the cost of advisory reports and services rendered on a fee basis. The head also covers, as occasion demands, subscriptions to international forestry organisations.
Could the Minister give us the real reason for the decrease this year from £4,740 to £1,200?
The reason is that most of the work of the consultants has been finished. We may have to call them in for a very short period from time to time.
