Vol. 196 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killenaule (Tipperary) Sewerage Scheme.

56.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the sewerage system in the town of Killenaule, County Tipperary, is most ineffective where it exists; and what steps are being taken to have a new sewerage system for Killenaule Town now that the Fethard regional water supply is connected with the town.

I am aware that the present sewerage system in Killenaule is entirely inadequate. The planning of a new sewerage scheme is well advanced. I understand that the council have received their consultant's preliminary report and that it is being examined at present by the county engineer.
