Vol. 196 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Lands.

44.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state particulars of any lands or turbary in the hands of trustees for the benefit of local people in the constituency of Kildare and of which the Land Commission have knowledge, including the name of the estate, or the names of the trustees, and particulars of any funds held in connection therewith by either the trustees or the Land Commission.

Records have not been kept by the Land Commission in such detail as would disclose the particulars requested without an inordinate amount of research and local inquiries.

If the Deputy is interested in any particular case and furnishes particulars, I will ask the Land Commission to make appropriate inquiries to ascertain the latest position of it.

Could the Minister say under what heading they are indexed? That is my trouble—I do not know the name of the estate.

I think it is under "Estates".

That is not known locally.

If the Deputy sends on the name of any estate, we can trace the matter.
