Vol. 196 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rathfarnham (Dublin) Primary School Needs.

55.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is satisfied that the primary school need of the Loreto Estate housing area Rathfarnham, Dublin is fully satisfied; and, if not, what action he proposes to take in regard to it.

57.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the Superior at the De La Salle School, Rathfarnham, Dublin, has stated to parents that he has not adequate accommodation for further pupils; and, if in view of the rapidly growing expansion of this area he proposes to take urgent action to deal with the matter.

A Cheann Comhairle, I propose with your permission to take questions Nos. 55 and 57 together.

I am not aware of the statements referred to by the Deputy. Two new national schools have already been provided in the Rathfarnham area and plans have been drawn up for an extension to one of the older schools. I am having investigations made as to what further accommodation may be required.

56.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that a person (name supplied) is unable to secure primary school education for her child in the Rathfarnham area, Dublin; and if there is any action which he can take to remedy this.

This case has not been brought to my notice or to the notice of my Department.
