I am not aware of any delay in sanctioning this extension. The proposal was approved last February. Arrangements for carrying out the work were sanctioned on 18th May last.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in sanctioning the extension of the Carrigart/Downings water scheme to Derryhassan and Dooey, County Donegal; and when it is proposed to sanction the extension.
There has been no delay in dealing with this extension. Revised proposals, prepared by the county engineer following discussions with officers of my Department, will, I understand, be submitted shortly.
