asked the Minister for Health whether in view of the fact that persons have been placed outside the qualifying ceiling for health benefits by reason of the granting of increases in wages arising from the cost of living he will give immediate consideration to raising the ceiling.

The terms of reference of the Select Committee of this House which is at present considering the health services include the following:—
"To review the income and other limits applicable to the categories eligible for the different health services."
As the matter referred to by the Deputy comes, therefore, within the Committee's terms of reference and as the Committee is to report before 31st March next, I think that it would be advisable to await the outcome of that body's deliberations.
