As I stated at Skibbereen, the main function of the County Committees of Agriculture is to cater for an efficient advisory service. It seems to me to be obvious that the Committees should concentrate on their main function, which is of the utmost importance to the future of Irish agriculture, and I am considering the question of introducing legislation which would facilitate the achievement of this purpose.
