93.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, in respect of State or semi-State bodies, etc., to which members are appointed by him, who receive remuneration in respect of their services on such bodies, (a) the year of establishment, (b) the statute under which the appointments are made by him, (c) the terms of office of the members, (d) the names and dates of appointment of present members, (e) whether the members are full-time or part-time, and (f) the rate of remuneration paid to the members.

No appointments of the nature referred to in the question are made by me.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state in respect of State or semi-State bodies, etc., to which members are appointed by him, who receive remuneration in respect of their services on such bodies, (a) the year of establishment, (b) the statute under which the appointments are made by him, (c) the terms of office of the members, (d) the names and dates of appointment of present members, (e) whether the members are full-time or part-time, and (f) the rate of remuneration paid to the members.

There are no State or semi-State bodies, etc., the members of which are appointed by the Minister for Social Welfare and receive remuneration in respect of their services on such bodies.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of State or semi-State bodies, etc., to which members are appointed by him, who receive remuneration in respect of their services on such bodies, (a) the year of establishment, (b) the statute under which the appointments are made by him, (c) the terms of office of the members, (d) the names and dates of appointment of present members, (e) whether the members are fulltime or part-time, and (f) the rate of remuneration paid to the members.

The only such body appointed by me is An Bord Iascaigh Mhara.

Following are the replies to the various parts of the Question:—

(a) 1952.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in respect of State or semi-State bodies, to which members are appointed by him, who receive remuneration in respect of their services on such bodies, (a) the year of establishment, (b) the statute under which the appointments are made by him, (c) the terms of office of the members, (d) the names and dates of appointment of present members, (e) whether the members are full-time or part-time, and (f) the rate of remuneration paid to the members.

There are no such bodies to which appointments are made by the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs.

No appointments are made by the Minister for Education to membership of State or semi-State bodies, the members of which receive remuneration for their services in respect of membership.
