Mr. Tully

asked the Taoiseach the number, or estimated number, of agricultural workers aged 14-16 years in each census year, giving details for each county and province and the total for the country.

The following table gives, in so far as they are available, the particulars asked for by the Deputy.

The two most recent censuses were taken in 1956 and 1961 but the former did not include any inquiry regarding occupation while occupational data are not yet available from the 1961 census.
