I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the weight of freight, including excess baggage, and of mail carried on all air routes into and out of the State in each of the years 1948-1961. Data for 1946 and 1947 are not available. In addition, the statement contains particulars of the value of external trade, exclusive of parcel post, through the Airports in 1954 and 1959 the only years for which this information is available.
