This proposal involved protracted consultation between the Dairy Industry Committee, An Foras Talúntais, University College, Cork, and myself, but agreement could not be reached on its location, functions and management. In these circumstances I propose to extend the operations of the Department's Butter Testing Station to provide for the commercial testing of dairy produce. Details are at present under examination.
