Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Health the number of beds available for the treatment of maternity cases in the area served by the Dublin Health Authority on 31st March, 1962, in (a) health authority hospitals, (b) voluntary hospitals, and (c) private hospitals and maternity homes.

The number of beds available on the 31st March, 1962, for the treatment of maternity cases in the area served by the Dublin Health Authority was (a) health authority hospitals, 131 beds, (b) voluntary hospitals, 361 beds and (c) private hospitals and maternity homes, 220 beds.
