I am not in a position to say when work on these schemes will be started. Acceptance of a tender for Foxford sewerage scheme was approved on the 3rd October, 1962, and preliminaries to the signing of a contract are being completed by the council at present. Preliminary proposals for a sewerage scheme for Bangor-Erris were received in my Department on the 11th instant, and are being examined. Tenders have not yet been invited by the council for Newport sewerage scheme, owing to difficulty in acquiring a site for the disposal unit.
