asked the Minister for Local Government if he will introduce legislation to permit motor vehicles to be registered for twelve month periods commencing and terminating on dates other than the first and last days of the calendar year, having regard to the view of the Committee on Industrial Organisation that the present system of registering motor vehicles causes disequilibrium in the assembly and sale of motor vehicles.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will introduce legislation to permit motor vehicles to be registered for six month periods commencing on 1st January in each year, having regard to the fact that a six month registration period is permitted for the latter half of the calendar year.
