asked the Minister for Lands whether he has received a memorandum from the Maritime Institute of Ireland on the subject of the Government's White Paper on Sea Fisheries Development; whether he has considered fully the Institute's view that adequate research is necessary to establish the realities of the position as regards fish stocks, prior to determining the type of fleet best suited to Irish fisheries; and whether his Department contemplates increasing research into these matters, and, if so, in what way.
