asked the Minister for Finance if he will state is respect of every company and statutory body now in existence, for which moneys have been provided by the Oireachtas, (1) the name of the company or statutory body, (2) the date of establishment, (3) the total sum or sums paid by the Oireachtas (a) by way of loan or repayable advance and (b) by way of free grant, (4) the interest paid on (3) (a), and (5) if this interest has not been paid, the amount that would have been payable if it had been paid, or charged.

The information, in so far as it relates to companies or statutory bodies for which I have parliamentary responsibility and which have received loans or repayable advances or free grants from moneys provided by the Oireachtas, is in the form of a tabular statement and I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

(i) The £1,000 was a loan to the Company towards the expenses of formation. Owing to the smallness of the amount and the shortness of the period of the loan no interest was charged.
