Vol. 200 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Delivery of Legal Diary.

35.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that on a number of occasions recently there have been serious delays on the part of his Department in the delivery of the Legal Diary to Dublin solicitors' offices, as a result of which the Diary has not been received until the afternoon of the days, or the day after the days, for which it was published; and if he will state the reason for the delays, and the steps which will be taken to avoid such delays in future.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. I am aware of a single complaint only and that relates to one issue. While the precise cause of the delay has not been established, the attention drawn to the matter in conjunction with the normal supervisory arrangements will, it is hoped, prevent a recurrence.
