Vol. 201 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Concrete Mixer Nuisance.

61.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the objection by residents as well as owners of shops at Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan, Dublin to the use of a concrete mixer in a yard at Lower Kilmacud Road which causes noise, and the dust from which is a great source of annoyance to the residents, as well as a possible danger to health; and if he will take steps to see that the operation of this mixer is terminated.

I understand that Dublin County Council have received complaints regarding the plant at Lower Kilmacud Road, which manufactures ready-mixed concrete. The council are considering what action may be feasible. The matter is not one in which I am empowered to intervene.
