asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of the year 1962 (1) the number of live poultry imported from the Six Counties and elsewhere, and their value, (2) the number of cases of eggs imported, (3) the value of poultry exported, apart from turkeys, and (4) the quantity of frozen eggs (a) exported and (b) imported.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports and Exports of Eggs and Poultry.
With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the information requested by the Deputy in so far as it is available. The units of quantity under which eggs are brought to account in the Official Import List are "great hundred" in respect of eggs in shell and "cwt." in respect of eggs not in shell, whilst neither the Official Import nor Export List separately distinguishes frozen eggs.
